St. Louis Park Colonial: James Hardie Lap & Shingle Siding

The project

A classic center-entry colonial in St. Louis Park that deserved a sharper exterior. The homeowners wanted the traditional look kept, just cleaner and lower-maintenance.

We re-sided the house in James Hardie: smooth lap siding on the first floor and staggered-edge shingle panels on the second, both in a warm gray, with a wide white band between them, white window trim and new black shutters. The result reads as a colonial should, only crisper, and it will not need painting for a very long time.
